After the death of her father, Maria travels to Berlin to visit her elder sister Helena, a dancer, who she hasn’t seen for years. However, when she arrives in Berlin she finds out that Helena has quit dancing and now works as a croupier in an illegal gambling club. As the two sisters’ relationship gradually becomes closer, Maria must draw Helena away from the underworld and help her overcome her dangerous addiction to gambling.

Angeliki Antoniou

Born in Athens. She studied Architecture, in which she holds a degree in Greece and film direction at the DFFB (German Film and Television Academy in Berlin). She works as scriptwriter and director in Greece and in Germany. In 2006 she taught film direction at the Film School of University in Thessaloniki. She lives in Athens and in Berlin. She has directed feature films, short films and documentaries. Her films have been distributed in several European countries and have been awarded in numerous international festivals. Her last film EDUART participated in more than 50 film festivals and received 18 awards (Greece, France, USA and England) and as well excellent revues. EDUART was Greece’s submission for an Oscar Nomination for Best Foreign Film 2008.
