A panel discussion with Renos Haralambidis & Stefanos Ganos
By using Renos Haralambidis’ new film Athens Midnight Radio as a case study, Renos Haralambidis (actor, director and screenwriter), Stefanos Ganos (Musou Music Group Director) and Panos Karananos (music producer, Musou Music Group) will explore in an open discussion the particular case of multiple roles in creation, as is the case of Haralambidis in all his films for the past 20 years. What are the challenges and demands, when the filmmaker becomes the director, signs the script, acts and participates in editing and production? We’ll talk about the incentives behind choosing Do It Yourself filmmaking and how it relates to budget and the whole filming process. In addition, we’ll talk about the soundtrack of the film, produced entirely by Musou Music Group. It is an exemplary work elevating the musical result of the film. During the open discussion, we will also talk about the process of making arrangements in music, about music rights and royalties and how musical themes accompanying image are selected.
