Maldives – by Daniel Bolda
An elementary music teacher living with his dog in a secluded town on the mountains, longs to escape the cold in favor of a warmer life by the beach. When his dog disappears, his sanity comes into question, as ringings of the afterlife begin to bring forth visions that shake up his world.
Daniel Bolda
Daniel Bolda (1983) was born in Berlin, Germany, and grew up in Athens, Greece. He studied film in Denmark. At his early years, he worked as an assistant director and casting director in shorts and feature films. During the last decade, he has worked as a film director in TV commercials. He directed his first short film, Muffin (2017) and When I Smile my Eyes Close (2020), which premiered at Cork International Film Festival. Maldives is his debut feature film.
