The Sock – by Kyros Papavassiliou

A struggling film director has an accident that leaves him temporarily disabled. He is assisted by his cousin, who is permanently disabled himself. The director decides to make a film about the accident and his days with his cousin, but everyone becomes an obstacle.

Kyros Papavassiliou

Kyros Papavassiliou was born in Cyprus in 1972. He initially studied Music and Philosophy in the United States. He has written and directed three feature and various short films. His feature Embryo Larva Butterfly had its world premiere at Karlovy Vary – Proxima Competition in 2023. His feature Impressions of a drowned man had its world premiere at Tiger Competition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2015. His short film In the name of the sparrow received an Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival 2007. He also directs and writes devised theatre performances. He has published a collection of poems by the title Poneman.
