MIKIS SATELLITES – Trans for More
Conceptual art project by Asteris & Ina Kutulas
in collaboration with Michalis Argyrou, Achilleas Gatsopoulos & Giorgos Kolios

A polymedia artwork inspired by the musical cosmos and the spirit of resistance of legendary Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. The project, on which more than 50 predominantly young artists from more than 10 countries have worked, is based on 40 Satellite Video Clips on Mikis created from 2017 to 2025. Based on still frames from these 40 video clips, Michalis Argyrou, Achilleas Gatsopoulos, Giorgos Kolios and Ina Kutulas have created their own collages, drawings, mixed media graphics and new film material. All works refer to the universe of Theodorakis, and at the same time they are all new products of this universe. The Theodorakis universe invites you to: Trans for more. Through the MIKIS SATELLITES project, the artists and The Greek Film Festival in Berlin are celebrating 100 years from the birth of Mikis Theodorakis.
