Life in a Beat – by Amerissa Basta
Lena is a 20-year-old woman who lives in Athens with her family and works at a local supermarket. As their home is poor, always messy and full of tension, she wants to move out and start a life of her own. Everything changes for Lena, when she gets fired from her job and at the same time she finds out that she is pregnant. Life in a Beat is a realistic, anthropocentric story, harsh and tender at the same time. What if keeping her baby is the only way to keep her job?
