Karyotakis).

——–

Jannis Zotos worked for the first time with Mikis Theodorakis in 1981. From this developed a collaboration of over 20 years, many tours and records. Now, after 35 years he recorded a solo album, on which he interprets 15 of the lesser known songs of the great master. He accompanies his voice only with an elecrtic guitar. This is why the music has a very personal and vulnerable character.
Live on stage, he works with a band and complements his program with songs of his last two albums “Siganess Phones tis Mnimis” (Lyric: Mikis Theodorakis) and “Amour fou” (Lyric: M. Polodouri/K. Karyotakis).

Jannis Zotos

Amerika.
Jannis Zotos komponiert für Film u. Theater („Diese Landschaft ist hart wie das Schweigen – Ritsos Film, Regie: Joachim Tschirner / „Sunny Point“, Spielfilm, Regie: Wolf Vogel / „Antigonä“ v. Sophokles, Neues Theater Halle, Regie: Alexander Stillmark / „Der Auftrag“ v. Heiner Müller, Regie: Thomas Bischoff / „Faust I“ v. J.W.v.Goethe, Regie: Thomas Bischoff / „Der Sondeur“ v. Jannis Ritsos, Regie: Thomas Bischoff / u.a.). 1998 erscheint die CD „Sonne u. Zeit“ Maria Farantouri u.
