“Reality does not exist”: this is the motto of the chaotic and open music band Aera Patera. Now that some band members – tired by the endless chaos – demand some structure, Jimmy (the band’s leader) has to compromise or battle once more with the reality “that does not exist”. Airland is a handmade, independent documentary. A mixed-technique film about chaos, creation, deconstruction and escapism. A film about failure and being mistaken.
Haris Raftogiannis was born in Athens, Greece. He has studied Sociology (BA), Film (BA) as well as History and Theory of Cinema (MA). His short and medium length films Premier Amour and True Blue were selected in numerous festivals, screened in Museums (MEK Berlin) and awarded in Greece and internationally. Airland is his debut feature film.
